A/B drives

Hi, once there was a time when floppies and special A and B drives were around but that’s long gone. WL9 Pro is still not treating those letters as similar or equal to others like c, d, e etc. Why is that so or can this outdated treatment be circumvented somehow? Greetings, Marcel

Currently there is no solution. Treating these drives differently, prevented long busy time when browsing files partitions.
It is not impossible that some users still have such drives.
Maybe this could be changed by the time of WaveLab 10.

Hi Philippe,

It is not impossible that some users still have such drives.
You probaly mean floppy disks. I also have a and b drives but they are like any other NTFS drives. Also not clear what you mean by “treating these drives differently”. You currently do by not offering them at all in your browsers. It certainly is not an important topic but I think Steinberg is a bit outdated in this respect. Regards, Marcel
