I’m planning to engrave the *Noble and Sentimental Waltz No. 6* by adding the original 1912 piano part at the very bottom of the score, beneath the double basses (for teaching purposes for my orchestration students).
As you can see, the 1913 orchestral version alternates between 3/2 and 6/4 time :
How would you align the different baronies of these time signatures? The piano must remain in 3/4 time, so two bars of the score will correspond to a single bar in the orchestral version. How can I align the bar lines (one in every two beneath those of the orchestral version)?
Hi @ObiwanKenobi, setting local time signatures of 3/4 for the 2 piano staves (you can alt+click paste them on every iteration of 3/2 and 6/4 in the piano and the local property will be maintained. You can then hide those):
Thank you very much, Christian; the bar lines are obviously working fine, as the time signatures are proportional.
Now, another question: how can I ensure that the piano’s bar numbers are correct for this stave only? At the moment, the bars are numbered in line with those of the orchestra.
