a disk overload occurred during freezing!

system: mac pro 8 core, 6b memory, 7200 rpm secondary disk, 250gb os disk 7200rpm with 1000 gb left.

every time i freeze a track i get this error message. i tried adjusting the buffer in device setup to no avail. i am also using nebula plug ins (a known resource hog). when i try to adjust the buffer size from default 512 to 1024 i get choppy audio and when freezing the error message changes to “a cpu overload occurred during freezing!”

please help. thank you.

its usually ne dodgy sample. try bouncing selection on all of your audio files, you’ll probably have one fail, and even if not, you should be able to freeze. I have no idea why this often works for me.
