Is there an alternative to First Steps when starting to use Dorico ? I have tried several times to use this approach, but it is so complex that a newbie like me cannot manage to incorporate the different elements of this approach to make a new piece of our own music.
Would it be possible to have a form of help which starts with a piece of, say, 8 bars of a simple tune, which can be entered, altered, and extended in a simple way, to enable the various elements of Dorico to be introduced one at a time, instead of copying allthe elements of the music used in First steps. It would then be possible to extend this new music as and how the learner wanted to explore the options.
Please look at this approach: it would make it possible for learners like me to make progress in Dorico, which First Steps with all of its complexity makes it much more difficult to understand what is being added at this particular time, and why it cannot be a much more simplified tutorial.
