As you can see in the clip below, the slider for the size of text has disappeared. Where did it go and how do I bring it home?
Second question: For the first time I am working with multiple flows on a piece. When I select a part from the drop-down menu I only get the part in one flow, and not necessarily the one I’m working on. How do I select all flows for a part.

The slider for font size is on the row above the one you show in your diagram.
I fussed around and got it to appear, though I’m not sure what I did. But you get full credit for the solution.
