A primitive form of physical modelling

Here’s a variety of sounds being synthesized in a most unique fashion:

a kookaburra ++ a camera shutter ++ a camera with motor drive ++ a car alarm ++ a chainsaw

The latter one is my absolute favourite.

Too bad this is not available as a vst instrument…

Yes, the Lyrebird is awesome. There are also a number of other birds with similar traits… e.g. starlings.
