Just confused about the following.
I added an Audio track to a new Project, and duplicated it 15 times. I then went back and set each track to use a different mono input from my XR18. I also added a stereo track at the end.
I armed all tracks, but only the last track ever gets anything recorded. I doubled checked the routing, and could see the signal coming it to the various tracks.
Deleting all the duplicates and adding new tracks worked fine, but id like to know why i cant just set a track up and duplicate it, then record to the duplicates.
XR-18… is that the behringer X-Air thing?
Yeah. It’s the band’s mixer. I take an 18 channel USB feed out of it in to my ipad so i can remix later.
I work with a band that uses one but I’ve never needed to hook it up to the iPad. I’ve heard of quite a lot of people having difficulties using that particular device with Cubasis. Setting up the inputs is usually the issue. I’ve set up one audio channel and duplicated it multiple times and then changed the input so I could record a bunch of hardware loads of times, no issues. That should not be a problem.
Thanks. I found it to be a lot easier than setting it up in Logic on iPad. That was a pain and the reason I’m jumping ship on the iPad.
I just wondered why duplicated tracks seem to be not recordable, but new added tracks are.
They’ve always worked fine for me so I’m not sure what’s happened to you here
Yeah, it does seem strange. All were record enabled, i could see signal coming in to all of the channels, but only one got recorded.
Hi @Davebass5
Happy New Year!
Does the Rec Enable icon is enabled on all audio tracks?
Plus, are all audio tracks routed accordingly?
To learn more about audio routing in Cubasis, please take a look at the recording chapter of our “Getting started with Cubasis” tutorial below.
If the problem persists, we recommend to exchange with Behringer regarding the issue. We’re at hand to provide them with a Cubasis promo code for testing purposes, if required.
Best,
Lars
Hi Lars.
Happy new year to you and the team, sorry for the late reply.
Yes, the Rec enable was on for every track. I got it working by creating all new tracks, so i know im doing it correctly.
This cant be a Behringer issue as all channels were showing an input level in the mixer window, and i chekced that each was receiving a separate input channel, so the audio was getting through to Cubasis just fine.
Could be a one off, I’ll not bother doing that again, I’ll just re use the project that did work.
On another note, after the first set i stopped Cubasis and it crashed back to the desktop. It had recorded fine and i restated the app and recorded the second set without issue.
It does worry me though, but i have another gig next week and i will use Cubasis again. .

If possible, please share more information with us about the Cubasis project, and what you were doing before the crash happened. In addition, the crash report itself might be interesting for our engineering too.
Thanks
Lars
I was recording a gig directly off my XR18. That’s it. Wasn’t even touching the iPad until i hit stop. No plugins, nothing. Just capturing the audio as multitrack.
Second set, same project, no issues at all.
