Imagine a music cue needed for picture at the 10-minute mark. If I have the video file (the entire film, starting at minute 0) and import it, I get a video track and the audio on a separate track, which is fine (I set it to time-based, not musical-based). Then I go to Bar 1 and use Set Timecode at Position to 01:10:00:00, without moving the parts. Now I can offset the video track to match the start of bar 1, but I can’t do the same to the audio track that came from the video (the offset parameter can’t be changed). How do I keep both in sync, and is there a easier way to do that?
