A request...and some questions

WL12, Can you change the color of the WL icon in WL12? It is the same color as the icon for WL11. I use the icons to switch between different version of WL on my desktop. Thanks

Why were the fades changed from Correction to Edit? I think I know the answer but…

I get a shadow on the cursor in WL12 in the edit window. Is there a way to have it the same as WL11? Thanks

WL12 seems to sound “better” than WL11. Was anything internally changed? I am using the same RME card I have been using for 20+ years.

I really like the changes in WL12 especially the analyzer function…GREAT JOB!!

Maybe some third-party utility can do this, for the Desktop icon. But there is no WaveLab built-in facility for this.

They have been changed from the Process ribbon (not Correction) to the Edit Ribbon.
I believe there was more coherence to have all the following edit functions close to each other. Sorry, if you need to change your habits

Everything can be customized there in WaveLab 12

Nothing can explain this except the psychological effect of using a version that overall brings more satisfaction in several areas :slightly_smiling_face:

Agreed.
Who’s who ?
WL 11 12

I haven’t used WL11 in awhile now so it’s been removed from my dock but in those times when I have both my dock, it’s only logical to have WL11 on the left and WL12 on the right in my opinion.

Also, if you hover your mouse over the icon the name should appear right above it if you need to double check before clicking.

Lastly, I guess it’s because I use things like Stream Deck, Keyboard Maestro, and Alfred to help open apps that it’s never personally bothered me that the icon is the same. I do click on the icon sometimes but with the left/right logic, I’ve never been confused by it.

RX has had the same icon for a few versions now, though with some subtle texture changes that might help but again, they’re so similar that the left/right and hover methods would still be needed.

You’re right Justin.
There is no big deal but it would be nice and useful for some users.

All other softwares personnalise their versions, even a subtle change would be appreciated.

The new splash screen of Wavelab 12 is nice. The icon remains the same…
