A new strip has appeared in my Cubase.
I wonder of course why? and if it can be removed?

This is so called Project Overview, and it’s in Cubase for ages now already. You can see the whole project at glance here for better orientation, where you are.
Click to the Set up Window Layout [Shift + F2] button (top corner 2nd button), and disable it.
