A VST Disappeared from routing, how do i reconnect it?

When i was working on a project last night everything was fine, but when i opened it up this morning Opus was gone. Here’s a pic of what i see in my routing in play mode.
How do i get it back?
Thanks,
-chris

My guess is that Opus went during plug-in scanning onto the blocklist (for whatever reason, I don’t know)
To verify that please go to
Win: %appdata%\Steinberg\Dorico 5 AudioEngine_64\Dorico 5 AudioEngine VST3 Cache
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Dorico 5 AudioEngine/Dorico 5 AudioEngine VST3 Cache

and there have a look for the file vst3blocklist.xml (open in a web browser or text editor)
Is Opus listed in that file?

You can delete that file and by that enforce a rescan on the next Dorico start up.
Does it still get blocklisted?

Hi Again Ulf,
If i followed your instructions properly, i’d say there is no cache folder.

Hey Ulf,
A little more digging and i found this. Is this relevent?

Going further,
I deleted that file and Opus is back. However the sounds were not playing, So i went into opus to reload the sounds. When i clicked on a sound to initiate it, opus crashes.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
-chris

Further observation on the crashing. I can run Opus as a stand alone(as an administrator) with no problems. But when i go through Dorico in play mode opus crashes.
Any help would be appreciated.

I should also add that after i restarted my computer i was able to try again. I started Dorico, went to play mode, then hit the load instrument icon and opus opens. When i select an instrument in opus, it crashes and Dorico crashes along with it. And the only way to open it up again is to restart my computer.
Thanks for any help.

BTW , i have been using these for a couple of months now with no problems, so its weird it just started happening.

New Update. This is weird but it solved itself. I went to task manager and made sure the program was closed. Then i ran cc cleaner and removed some junk files. Now Dorico and Opus works with no problems.
Go figure.

Hi @chrisppff , I’m glad that you sorted your problem yourself. I really can’t tell what the actual cause behind your trouble was, but you have it running now, so let’s hope it stays like it is.
