I have N6 plus nek and W8 I us A1 4 on my laptop as I got it with hardware , I would like to upgrade to the latest version if possible. this means no dongel swap an a more usable tool for out of studio work.

You would be looking at Cubase Elements 7 if you want the latest dongle-free version. Unfortunately, I only see upgrades available from LE/AI 6/7. It looks like you would have to pay full price if you have AI 4. The price is reasonable, at least.
