Nuendo during importing AAF where some are muted (inactive) omit that clips . It causes problems when video editor make pre selection of clips. Sound editor is not able to see that clips. Also is not possible to export AAF with variation of take as muted clip. Please add option to AAF import / export to hold muted clips.
I would like that too.
As a workouround: we always ask video editors for second AAF with a mirror - AAF with only muted clips. Advantage is we have basic idea of video editors intentions and can access muted clips only if needed.

Hi Martin,
The AAF format is not maintained by anyone anymore, for over ten years. Their specification states that muted clips are not to be included in the export.
One workaround, is to move all muted clips to their own track, label the track appropriately, un mute those clips, and then export the AAF file.
AAF is not a Steinberg product.
However this not helps me when I open AAF from video editor, and have lot of clips missing. Then I have to open AAF in PT (again), and translate session from PT to XML.
