Ability to enter decimals in pan field, not just integers

I would like the ability to enter decimals into the pan settings, not just integers. For example, at the bottom of every fader in the mixer, we can type -1.36db, or 1.78db, etc. In pan, it’s R1, or R2. I would like to be able to do R-1.36 or L1.78.

It’s not so much about mix adjustments, but there are times when it would help with calibration of stereo pairs for input and/or output busses.

Thanks,
Todd

Hi,

Building on Todd’s request, it would be great if users could have the option to choose the number of decimal places for pan settings in the software preferences. If the pan control uses a 32-bit variable, allowing users to set precision from 0 to 7 decimal places would provide more flexibility.

This would be especially useful both for mix adjustments (for example L33.333 and R66.667) and precise stereo pair calibration in input/output buses.

Thanks for considering this!

Best,

4 decimal places may be enough.

For example L33.3333 and R66.6667, or L61.8034 and R38.1966
