It seems like it could be useful to send out a midi message whenever a marker is reached.
I know I could create a midi track and manually enter the notes there, but that seems very inconvenient as opposed to choosing some program or control change to fire when a marker is reached in a song to switch some midi effects and change settings at different points in a song.
