Is there a way to create a chord component, like a (b9) or (#9) and put it in the component bar permanently just the way I created. I try tô “add a component” but it does appear on the bar component.
First of all, check Library→Engraving Options→Chord Symbols. Plenty of appearance options there.

You can’t create your own component in such a way that Dorico will always show it as an option for all chord symbols to which it could potentially apply. Instead, edit one of the existing ones that appears when you select e.g. the (b9) component for an existing chord symbol. If you edit one of the built-in appearances, it will always appear.
