About chords and notes

Hi, I just want to make sure I didn’t overlook something. Are these statements correct?

  • I can enter chord names, BUT I can’t let Dorico expand it into notes.


  • I can enter notes, BUT Dorico won’t look up a/the chord name/s.

If so, are there any plans to incorporate one or both of these functionalities in future?

Correct.

Although Dorico will analyze a selection of notes, shown as a chord symbol in the status bar at the bottom.
