I’ve already changed the Voices setting in Notation options of the Library and saved them as the default, but when I enter notes like this, the longer note values (such as half notes) still shift to the right — I want them to stay on the left.

Also, I’ve noticed that even though I’ve saved it as the default, once I restart Dorico, it reverts to the factory settings. This makes me think that my changes might only be visual and aren’t actually taking effect.

Hi! I won’t be able to help with the reversion to the factory setting problem, but I do believe that you’ll need to change the “Interlocking pitches in opposing voices option”, which works for me.

(The “unisons in opposing voices” option doesn’t really apply here since you have neither stemless notes nor unisons.)

Might the problem be that both bass voices are downstem?
