About uninstalling older version

Hi everyone,

I know there are a lot of threads about this topic but I didn’t find a specific answer to this question (that’s possibly superfluous): any particular reasons that I’m missing to keep older version besides last and penultimate ones as I can open older projects with them?

(I’m actually running Pro versions from 11 to 14 and planning to upgrade to 15 so maybe having five version at once is really too much)

Thanx,

Art

Steinberg is introducing new bugs with each version. If you need certain features to work that are bugged in new version, use an old version.
Applies to removed features, too.

Thank you @Johnny_Moneto,

in my experience with C14 I didn’t meet particular issues but I surely didn’t use every possible function so I’ll probably keep that version (maybe 13 too); only after writing my post I checked OS-version compatibility and 11-12 are not supported in Sequoia so I can uninstall them for sure.

I liked very much Absynth 5 but I can still use, in case I need it, on my old MacMini late 2012 still running OS Mohave (I’m also considering to upgrade it to OS Ventura with some workaround I found on YouTube, so I could use Dorico 6 too, have you heard about this?)

Best,

Art

  • Project Browser
  • undo for VSTi’s

Hi @Johnny_Moneto, so you mean c12 is still running on Sequoia?

I am sorry, I am not familiar with OS requirements in the Appleverse.

HI @Johnny_Moneto ,

no problems at all; hope there some Appleverse reading that can confirm or not about C12 usability in Sequoia.

Best,
