About Wavelab Cast 2

I’m currently using Audition to edit podcasts. I had the trial for WC2 but didn’t have the time to try it.

Can I do the following in Wavelab Cast?

Load two tracks and find and delete silence that occurs at the same parts of the track so that the gap is removed also? I think this is ripple delete? (In audition this is automated)

Can I select part of both tracks and delete that selection so that the gap is removed? (So basically same as above but manually)

Can I delete part of one track so that the other is unaffected? (Let’s say that two people are speaking over each other and I’ll just delete the other part without moving the tracks)

I tried to watch tutorial videos but couldn’t find answers.

Yes. Ripple delete is possible in WaveLab Cast 2 (this is a manual operation, not an automated find and delete).

I must weigh the benefit of automatic silence detection and deletion against the price of Audition.
