I bought version 4 - 5 - 6.
I hesitate to buy NI on sale …
I am an amateur, not a pro … my budget is limited.

I think there will definitely be an update in the near future, because Groove Agent 5 is seven years old now, so the GA6 update is sure to come. And of course, this is why the Absolute 7 update is coming.

The new Cubase Drum Track looks like it’s based on GA6.

Two things make me think it won’t be long.
First they offered Backbone for free,
and then I got a survey from them asking about Absolute.

I wasn’t any help on the survey because I’m not sure what I’d like to see added.

Just a guess:
The Grand is antique, Groove Agent 5 is almost antique… In this year it should be Absolute 7 announced… maybe before the summer…

Sorry, this is just my guess, but I think Cubase’s Drum Machine could be an early version of GA6. It feels similar to when GA4 SE appeared in Cubase before GA4 was officially released.
