Accessibility Issue
Due to a disability I often need to use an on screen keyboard to type text.
When opening the Inserts menu to add a VST, the search function dialogue box does not work with an onscreen keyboard or touchscreen.
When you put the curser in the search box and move to the on screen keyboard the cursor vanishes from the search box making it impossible to use with an onscreen keyboard.
This only happens on the channel insert VST search dialogue.
On screen keyboard functionality works everywhere else in Cubase 13 Pro, but does not work in this one search dialogue box.
Hi,
I can’t reproduce it here (or I don’t understand your description). What I did:
- Open On-Screen Keyboard Alt+K.
- Add an Audio Track.
- Open Inserts in the Inspector.
- Click to the 1st Insert slot to add a plug-in.
- Make sure, the cursor is in the plug-in search field.
- Mouse hover over the On-Screen Keyboard.
→ The cursor remains visible in the plug-in search field.
Could you please add proper title and tags to your post?
That is the problem identified correctly.
To replicate do the following.
- Project Window View
- Channel strip
- Click on Inserts
- A list of VST appears.
- Click in the search box
- Return to the open Microsoft accessibility on screen keyboard or open it.
- Attempt to type using the on screen keyboard with the cursor in search box.
- Type anything using the Microsoft on screen keyboard
- The VST inserts dialogue closes.
Think here please. It is impossible to hover over the box AND use an on screen accessibility typing keyboard, not a musical keyboard as in ALT+K (but only in this search dialogue, all others work), as you have to move the mouse to an on screen keyboard (typing QWERTY) and therefore can no longer hover the mouse over the search dialogue.
Hovering and using a standard keyboard works.
