Bert,
Are you using a specific transposing instrument?
How did you edit the accidentals?
I shifted the three notes up a step and added the "b"s, without having any issues:
If you respell the notes in the score (using Respell Using Note Name Above/Below), the change will also apply to the parts — but if you respell in the parts, it won’t affect the score. That’s the normal behavior, and often very useful.
However, if you do want to propagate spelling changes from a part to the score, select the respelled notes in the part and use Write > Respell > Propagate Note Spellings.
(I think it worked in @k_b’s example above because it wasn’t technically a respell — it was probably considered as a change of pitch.)
Yes, you are right. The reason for my procedure is that I haven’t found that “respell” option on the iPad version yet..
On my Dorico Pro version on the “big” computer I use respell all the time
Did you do it in the part view and your change shows up in score, too? I can edit score and it show up correctly in part. If I edit in part, with GLOBALLY checked, it will not show up edited in the score.
That seems highly time consuming—changing the accidentals in parts [using option = or -], then finding a sub-menu routine to make it look right in the score. Someone had told me [FB forum] that checking GLOBALLY was the answer. I guess not?
