Is it a condensed score? Could you show an example?
This is the condensed score.
turn on the show on the panel to see
Using factory Engraving Options and Notation Options I get the redundant accidentals across condensed solo players and condensed section players.
Regardless, this is the Notation Option that controls whether accidentals shown/hidden/bracketed in uncondensed staves affect condensed staves:
If you’re altering accidental visibility from the score in Galley View (assuming only one score layout) the setting for the Set local properties switch doesn’t matter; if you’re altering accidental visibility from a part layout you’ll need to ensure that the Set local properties switch is set to Globally.
OK, understood! That’s because you’re condensing two different section players – I was condensing divisi.
For condensed divisi, it looks like there’s no option to show the redundant accidentals.
Thanks. @charles_piano @pianoleo
It still doesn’t appear even when I use the options you provided.
The option @pianoleo was mentioning allows to propagate accidentals overrides (that is, manually forced). In your case (thanks for the demo file, it’s easier now to understand), the flats before the Bs are not accidental overrides, they’re regular cautionaries, which automatically show up in the individual staves, because of the B natural in the previous bar.
On the condensed staves, however, since the last B of previous bar is flat (on instrument #2), there is no cautionary flat any more in bar 2.
I don’t think there is an option for that. If you want the flats to appear, you’ll have to force them.
What I would recommend is to create an easy shortcut for Toggle Accidental Visibility, and to use it when this situation occurs.
Thanks.
I’ll have to click on them one by one.
