I saw a youtube video on gain staging where this was adjustable from the main screen…I think that was Logic. A much more straightforward implantation than Cubase’s.
feature-request I was just thinking how useful this would be! I’d love to see this as an option in a future version.
The track inspector has a volume fader. You can display a small horizontal one or a larger vertical one. This thread is 7 years old

I’m not talking about the fader, but pre-gain.
Pre-gain would be for the whole track. As I understand the original poster, he saw the event-gain feature in Logic in the Region-Info box:
