Activate setlist not working

to activate a setlist don’t work anymore. I’ve tested it with 2.2.80 to 2.2.93.
The program becomes unuseless. With 1.75, same issue.
I will test it later with my laptop. Very strange.

Hi @kyru,

so far I am not able to get reproduced. Can you maybe make a video to show us the problem?

Thank you,
Michael.

Please double the size for upload.

just to know: you can’t activate “empty” setlist. It’s not possible.
But the other with the two songs is the question, why not gets activated…

It should give a message rather than reload the already loaded SetList in that case - And why reload anyway if it’s already loaded?

It’s an example. No setlist can be activated. All my songs are not accessible, only these who are already activated.

I can create setlist, butr i can not activate trhem. The empty setlist was only a test for me.

And this is many VSTL versions even on a new project? I would send a project file to the devs.

It works on my live laptop, I can load my sets. Phew.
But it’s annoying that it doesn’t work on my desktop computer, because that’s where I edit and prepare everything.
So it also has something to do with the configuration of Windows 11.

Continuing the discussion from Activate setlist not working:

Hi Michael, the problem persists for my desktop pc. What do you need, what could i try. BR

… yes, an empty setlist will not be loaded. But that is not your problem? Then I need your *.vlprj file to get it analysed. Drop me a PM, please.

Michael.

In the first case there is nothing to activate because that setlist is already activated. In the second case the setlist is empty (should not happen, will check).

Hi Michael,
I can’t load a setlist on my PC; the “Activate Setlist” function isn’t working.
I don’t have this problem on my laptop. Same file and same VSTLive 2 version 2.2.80 on both.

What exactly happens (or doesn’t happen)?

Hello, I can’t load a new setlist on my PC. When I click “Activate Setlist,” nothing happens and the setlist doesn’t load. I also can’t add songs, etc.
I open the file on my laptop, activate the setlist I need, and that works.
Then I load the file onto my PC, and the last setlist is activated, so I can work with it.
My laptop is really only used for live performances; I do the programming on my PC. So this makes things a bit of a hassle.

Maybe you have tickt the “Don’t show again” in this dialog and pressed “No”. In that case you are locked out from activating a setlist.

You can check this in preferences under

and remove it there.

To the developer: Tick-box should be ignored in case of pressing “No”.

But “Dont’” means “always use my last decision”.

That’s true, but if you select “No” and tick, you are no longer able to activate any setlist anymore till removing it in preferences. I don’t think that users want to freeze the current playlist with that option.

How about adding the following logic:

Only ask if the active PL has been changed since loading. That would reduce unnecessary alert boxes. Or, the other way round, ask if VL should save the active PL. Because: If the active PL has already been saved there’s no harm done loading another one.

Hi, you are the best. Thanks a lot. BR
