Activating old and new

Hi Steinberg,

Until recently, I was using cubase 8 on my PC, using a hard usb eLicenser.
Lately I switched to Mac and took the chance to purchase an upgrade to cubase 12.

right now Mac is running 12, and my PC still has 8 on it.

My question is: Can I keep using my old cubase 8 on my old PC with dongle?

Hi,

Yes, you can. With the update, you got Cubase 11 (not upgradeable) license, which sits on the USB-eLicenser. So with the USB-eLicenser plugged, you can start Cubase 11 or lower.

At the same time, you have 3 seats of Cubase 12 license.
