I am running Dorico Pro 4 on a Mac. If possible I would like to run some form of Dorico on an early 2008 iMac running OS 10.11.6. (I know, but it was free ) My understanding is that Dorico Pro 2 is compatible with this machine, but the Steinberg Download Assistant and Activation Manager are not; so I would need an activation code. I don’t think I have one. Can I get one, and if so how?
Did you ever have a license for Dorico 2, or did you come on board more recently? While the eLicenser licenses for Dorico 3.5 and earlier did allow you to run earlier versions of Dorico that you might not have actually had a license for, there’s a hard cut-off with the new Steinberg Licensing licenses; while future Steinberg Licensing licenses will allow you to run earlier versions back to Dorico 4, they won’t allow you to run anything any earlier.
Thanks, Daniel. I didn’t have anything before version 4. No worries, I’ll be replacing the iMac before long.
