I have now had way too many times that Wavelab will not open saying “switch to SAM to login”
it usually eventually resolves itself, but because I can always open Wavelab 10 on my dongle, I’m starting to long for the option to go back to my dongle, even if its only a backup option. This SAM is causing me workflow frustrations.
The easiest way is to open the Windows Task Manager, and in the Detail Tab, to locate these two applications, and to right click and select “End Task”.
SYNSOPOS.exe
SteinbergActivationManager.exe
Generally, the same should be done with “WaveLabPro11.exe”
After that, WaveLab will start correctly. No need to reboot the computer.
