Activation Manager "Buy..." button

Is there any explanation for this? I already have version 15 installed. Why is it asking me to purchase version 13?

Because you previously downloaded a C13 trial.

What @Thor.HOG said.
These entries won’t go away but they don’t do any harm either. They are just there. If you want them to be removed you need to contact support and open a ticket - only they can remove these entries.
This question pops up on a regular basis. It might very well be that they will take care of this in a future update. As I said, it has no effect on your system so it’s just about the visual appearance.

FYI: You can download and run C12 to C15 with your C15 Pro license including Artist, AI, etc versions. Another proof that you are elegible to fully use C13 Pro

I can see the pros and cons of an “automatic removal” after some period of time, or when a new version is released that negates the option. Automatically removing it may be considered “overstepping” so they probably figure if you want it removed you’ll ask.

No, I use cubase pro sinse V11 (only pro Version all updated). This, there isnot in previus Activation Manager. How can I solve this?

Yes, there are several kind of entries which are confusing to a lot of users, e.g. .

  • the option to buy a previous version of Cubase although it is not possible since you can only buy the latest update or
  • an entry of a trial version X with the option to buy it although you already bought it and there’s another entry right below confirming it.

It’s also unfortunate that the only way to find out about it is the forum or support.

Did you try Cubase 13 at that time before you bought it? That is the only way on how you got this entry.

To remove it you need to open a Support ticket, as @Reco29 already said.

Hi,

the Steinberg Activation Manager

  • only shows licenses within the new license system (for example Cubase 12-15; Cubase 11 runs on the old licensing system relying on the eLicenser)
  • old entries of trial versions remain for an undefined period of time
  • old entries of purchased versions are removed and only the latest Cubase version will show up

If you want to see all licenses including those which run with the old licensing system like Cubase 11 open your MySteinberg account. Here, you’ll find all licenses and devices associated with your account including the old ones.

No i don’t need the old one. But, i think steinberg must fix it. In Activation manager must show a correct view for any User (customer)

You are no exception - it works this way for everyone of us.
But I agree - this IS confusing and the number of questions about it in this forum is living proof.

As mentioned several times, you need to enter a support ticket. This is a user forum and nobody here can do that for you.

And just to reiterate @ccdin it being listed is strictly a clerical transaction entry. It does absolutely nothing to you or your account. You can simply ignore it and everything will be just fine.

You probably activated the trial by accident (which is easy to do if you’re already logged in). I’ve got a trial in my account (but don’t have Cubase 14 installed on this workstation) and it’s completely harmless. Sure, I could open a ticket to get it removed, but I simply ignore it. You can too. Or open a ticket. Totally up to you, but since you seem to be bothered by it, I’m just letting you know it’s completely harmless.

Thanks for all replies!
