I am trying for the first time to install the DORICO 5 SE, in a WINDOWS 11 system.
Although the download manager acknowledges my subscription, the Activation Manager does not.
I’ve tried all the ways I found here in chat:
I have tried all the browsers I have installed here,
2- I completely disabled my firewall, including putting exceptions for the DORICO, Download Manager and Activation Manager
3 - I made new downloads, uninstalled all applications and reinstalled 2 times.
What’s the actual problem you are having with the Activation Manager. Is it that you can’t Sign In, or that you have signed in but your Dorico SE licence is not displayed? If the latter, have you definitely signed in with the same Steinberg ID that you used in SDA?
the DOWLOAD MANAGER recognizes my account, but not in SAM.
When I open SAM, there is an activation button that I operate and nothing happens, does not open the browser, I have tried the whole list of resources that I found in Steinberg, even have here the logs of my attempts, could help me if I sent them to you?
Hi @Renato_Alves1967 ,
We don’t know the exact cause of the issue yet but some users on Windows could sort this problem out by using a VPN. Using the free version of Proton VPN worked fine for them. You only need it once to log in to activate the license. I’m afraid we don’t know any other workaround yet.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, we are working on sorting this out on our side.
Yes, some users have found that using the free version of Proton VPN allows them to log in and activate the license. After that, you shouldn’t need it again until you acquire another Steinberg license (or we have a fix in the meantime).
