Add barlines option in Filter for selective editing

Description

At present, the Filter does not provide a means of specifically targeting barlines. Users who wish to select or deselect only barlines must do so manually, which is inefficient.

Feature Request

Introduce an option in the Filter that enables users to select or deselect barlines only. This would streamline workflows when working with notation or score editing, particularly in projects where barline manipulation is frequent.

Benefits

Quicker editing of barlines without affecting other elements

More precise control in score and notation workflows

Consistency with other filter options (notes, dynamics, articulations, etc.)

Thank you for considering this request.

Barlines are automatically generated by Time Signatures.
May I ask what kind of changes you need to do? Can you post an example and describe what you are trying to do with the barlines?
Maybe there are better ways.

(For example, if you need to change some barlines to double barline, see this tip)

I am trying to change. the barlines in the middle of flows:

It is a bit hard to make invisible barlines:

  1. Select a baline.
  2. Change the barline to a tick.
  3. Resize both “Out” and “In” of “Tick adj.” to -1/2.

So I want to copy and paste them.

It seems that you are using a 1/4 meter to have everything evenly spaced? I believe you actually could avoid using a meter at all and use note spacing settings to space evenly instead. Then you would save a lot of time. But maybe you have other reasons for this way to do it.

On the other hand, if you set your document to use dashed barlines as default, and then in engraving options do this:

Then you would be in a situation where you would only have to edit barlines when you want them to be something else than invisible.
