A client wants the reader to see a bracketed (0) in the tablature line at bar 5. I followed these instructions and played around to hide the rests which appeared in the notation voice but this is what I am left with. Can anyone help me get rid of that 1/16 note in the notation line but retain the bracketed (0) in the tab? (please don’t worry about the chords, this is an alternate tuning)

I would hope that in Engrave mode, activating the Hide stem and Hide notehead properties would do the trick.
Hi Daniel, thanks for checking in!
Hide stem worked but Hide Notehead via the Properties panel didn’t.
There’s another trick I sometimes use to get rid of unwanted chart elements - Custom Scale to 01, but in this case that makes the bracketed (0) disappear as well. Does anything else occur to you?
Can you attach the project itself? I’m curious to see why Hide notehead doesn’t work.
Sure, here you go. I think Hide Notehead is off at the moment but when I toggle it, nothing happens

It works fine. Activate both Hide notehead and Hide ledger lines, then select something else.
Okay, I didn’t think to click away to activate the changes.
That worked to get rid of the notehead! But…
- In properties panel, Hide Stem, Hide Notehead and Hide Ledger Lines are all toggled off, which is fine.
- There have appeared two brackets around the ghost note. I can see the note greyed out and there are brackets that have appeared there. Does that not happen for you? I tried to see if I manually added brackets somehow, to the note as opposed to the tab, but I don’t think I did? Bracketed noteheads are toggled off in Properties Panel?
Can you take one last look at the attached Daniel?
