There’s a post by @FredGUnn that shows a decent workaround for creating a double barline at the beginning of a system. I’m still very new to Dorico - but, I found the hack fairly straightforward and decided to create a simple video showing how I got a double barline to display at the beginning of a staff in Dorico.
