Add empty bars to one part

Is there a way to add empty bars, (similar to e.g. Shift-B +12) but for only one part? My XML imports don’t import multi-rests so I am left with missing measures in some parts. What is the best (quickest, easiest for Dorico) way to remedy this situation?

  1. Place caret on relevant staff.
  2. Shift-B n Alt-Enter (where n=the number of bars)

At least in Dorico 4.2, Insert mode doesn’t make any difference - you don’t need it.
