Add octaves or other intervals to line

Is there a quick way to add octaves or other intervals to a line like you can do in Sibelius?

Select notes. shift-I 8 will add octave above. (shift-I m3, -d5 would add a minor 3rd above and a diminished fifth below etc.)

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but it’s not working for me on the octaves.
