Add player below selected player

I’d like to request the ability to add a player immediately following the currently selected player, rather than that player being added at the end of the players’ list.

If you right-click and choose Duplicate Player this is what happens.

But then you need to ‘Change instrument’.

That’s fine, but I rarely add players by duplicating existing ones.
