Add tempo point at locator position

Hi,

Is there any way to add a point on the Tempo Track at the playhead position via key command or macro?

The way I know to add it like this is to:

  • open Project Browser Ctrl/Cmd + B
  • select Tempo Track in the left column
  • set the playbar where you want to add a tempo change
  • click the Add button of the Project Browser.

This will insert a 120 bpm tempo jump point at the playbar. Then here in the Project Browser you can easily change the tempo to your liking by clicking on the tempo value and writing a new one here.

Thank you. I didn’t even know the Project Browser existed… Doesn’t seem to be a way to automate it via a macro, though. It’s still a lot of clicking just to create a MIDI event.
