Just to say that I found the solution to this problem,if anyone needs to know how it’s done I am happy to send you the information
hey Hiya, bumped into the same issue of being “stuck” with only one external instrument track.
Could you share your solution?
Many thanks!
Just came across your reply.
If you use midi tracks you can then assign each track to the external instrument.
Works a treat.
thanks Hiya
In the end I only keep one track, render once I’m ready anytime I’m only using one patch from the external instrument
Having more MIDI tracks, now that I’m used to using external instruments, becomes a little pointless?
The external instrument is obviously able to play one patch at the time anyway so. (btw I only have an Hydrasynth Explorer so all the external sounds come from it)
When I play multiple patches, makes more sense to me to simply record the external instrument in audio. It’s like recording a guitar so I’m already familiar with it
Unless I’m missing the benefit of having multiple MIDI tracks assigned to 1 single instruments of course XD
In which case please share your workflow
Thanks!
I use an arranger keyboard so it allows me to record drums, bass, and about 7 or 8 accompaniment tracks at one time
For me it is very useful.
If you record one at a time then that is good for you.
Cheers
