Adding a drum track to an audio track

Hi. I’m new to cubase. How would I add a drum track to a project with an audio track (acoustic guitar and vocal together). I’m using Cubase 14 on windows. Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by a Drum Track? There is no such a think in Cubase. Do you mean an Instrument Track with Groove Agent One Instrument? Or do you mean an Audio Track with audio loops our samples?

I want add an instrument track with groove agent and match the beat of the audio track.

Right click in the track name section, Add Instrument track and pick GA as the instrument.

Thanks. To make the instrument track beat match the audio track beat do I use hit points, warp or a combination on the two tracks?

That depends on your audio track: Have you recorded your audio track to a click? In other words, does your audio track have a defined tempo that aligns with the grid in your project?

No, the audio track was recorded first — no click. Then the artist decided he wanted drums with it.
