Adding a vintage spring reverb as an external effect

Hey everybody!
I am trying to connect an external reverb unit to my Focusrite 18i20. I read that you have to add an “external FX” - but it is not showing in my Cubase. Is it because I am using Cubase Elements?

Yes, old style: connect your spring reverb to your audio interface, set the output routing of the track you want to have the effect on to the output that goes to your reverb input . Create a new track that has the output from your reverb as the input, play back the audio and record the effect signal on the new track.
