Adding an insert in Slot 1 when it's already used?

Let’s say I have 5 plugins as inserts on a track. I then decide I need to add an additional plugin at the top of the chain (slot 1). Is there an easy way to do that, or do I manually have to scoot all 5 down a slot until Slot 1 is empty? Can I drag them all at once? Can’t figure it out.

Two ways;

  1. Add it below, then drag it up onto the first position and let go; the others will push down.
  2. Drag the first insert down one onto the second, and they will all move down one
