adding bars/shifting tracks

I imported a midi file i created in Mac Band in a Box 2016.

Now in Cubase Elements 9 need/want to add a few empty bars at the beginning of my composition ( or should i say shift the tracks a few bars ).

Also, it would be helpful to know how to add bars at any point/place in this and other similar importations of midi files.

How is that done, please.

Help/comments very much appreciated here, thanks.

Hi,

By Left and Right Locators select the part, where you want to add the new Bars, and use Insert Silence function.

Edit > Range> Insert Silence
The range selected is replaced by silence, and everything else is moved right.
Affects all tracks.
