adding comments to tracks

Hi,
I’m trying to find out how to add comments or short notes alongside the recording.

I’d like to be able to make a useful note of what I want to do with bits of the tracks later, or add the name of a chord or what needs to be done to a particular part. I don’t know if this can be done on the actual recorded track or above or below the tracks or above the bar count line, any of these would be usable for me.

I’ve tried searching the forum but as it doesn’t use boolean search or accept phrases I get the response that my search terms are too common, so my only option was to post.

You can go to menu/project/notepad and type or copy/paste text.
OR
Create a miditrack and type/copy/paste into the tracknamefield whatever text you want and then create an empty midipart by doubleclick between the L/R locators. Now your text will be visible in the midipart.

Hi Ghost Decoy,
I’d tried adding a miditrack before but couldn’t work out how to add text, thanks for the tip, that does exactly what I wanted!
