Adding delay in expression map causes playback problem

I added a delay of 80ms to the pizzicato playback technique in the Noteperformer 4.5.1 expression map. This was to bring the arco and pizzicato playback in sync - otherwise the pizz plays a little too early.

The result is that the pizzicato sections play back arco if the flow starts in pizzicato.

Removing the delay restores the correct playback.

I’m using 5.1.70, NP 4.5.1 with BBCSO core on Mac.

This is indeed in general the case for a switch using a negative delay that occurs at the start of the flow. I’m not sure whether it will work, but you could try specifying a pre-roll value on the Timing page of Library > Playback Options.

Thanks Daniel, Yes, I’ve tried that but it doesn’t make a difference.
