Helloooo , I have some problems adding bars, I can do it through the popover but when I insert notes or copy notes from another part, notes are all squeezed up, it seems that the new bars do not extend.
How can I do that please ?
If you’re in Write mode, in Galley view, then everything should look fine. If you’re in Page View, or if you’re in Engrave mode, and you have manual system breaks, then you may be squeezing things into one system.
In Engrave mode, do you have manual system breaks? And do the system fullness indicators on the right show that your system is too full?
That’s a manual frame break (like a page break in Finale), and it may be responsible for squeezing your bars together.
A manual system break will also appear as a flag like this (Dorico calls them “signposts”).
Can you upload your project, or a cut-down version of it, so that we can see what’s going on? That’s common in this forum, and it often helps resolve things quickly.
