additive / interchangeable time signatures in polymetric score?

Hello,

I’m working on a score with two instruments which sometimes diverge in their time signatures.

Am I right that I can’t use additive time signatures when they are stave-specific?
And is it similarly impossible to use interchangeable time signatures?

There’s no restriction on which kinds of time signatures you can create on individual staves, so you should find that you can create whatever time signatures you like on each staff. Use Alt+Return to confirm the Shift+M popover to be sure you only create the time signature on the staff in question. If you’re not sure what the format should be for the popover, see here.
