Is there any way to change the default gap when importing files into a Montage.
There is a setting for the “Active Montage” but this always defaults to 2 seconds and I would prefer it was 0 and not have to adjust it every time

Create a montage template. Then you will have the desired setting when you create a new montage from this template.
Exactly. This is what I do. My new montage template(s) have it set for 0 seconds because I always arrange this manually based on how things actually sound.
Thanks, that’s perfect
how does this differ from using the CD Wizard to set your splice marker spacing via a custom CD Wizard preset? at least, this is how i always make montages:
- create new montage
- drag a bunch of sound files in, they all snap together with no gaps
- go to CD Wizard and choose my preset to make splice markers with one of a few choices of default gaps
WL seems to have multiple ways of doing a single thing, which is great… just hope i’m not doing anything “wrong”… (well, years of clients and no complaints… probably not… but, always curious how others do it!)
