Adjust notation to match key

Is there a way to select a measure or group of measures that contain accidentals and the program will choose the best enharmonic for the key at that spot in a piece? For example, everything was notated in the default key, not key selected even. Then, after the fact, I wanted to assign keys. Can this be done avoided flats in sharp keys etc. I know there are times that is correct, but I am curious if there is a less time demanding way other than each part note by note

Once the notes are selected, you can use either:

Write > Respell > Respell Notes Automatically (the defaults usually allow a good respelling)

Or (better results from my experience):

Shift+I > Type e.g. spell bbmaj or spell c#min

Oh this is brilliant. I didn’t know these commands existed.

(There are Easter eggs like this that I discover all the time.)

Thank you! You feel typing in does a better job?

As I was saying, it seems to me that using the Note Tool popover (Shift+I) works better in some cases. For example here, I get a perfect result with Shift+I, but not with Respell Automatically (even with settings other than the ones I’m using in the example).

But as I was also saying, in most cases both give the same (excellent) results! Maybe I just haven’t looked closely enough at what Respell Automatically can do.

Thanks for your comment… It seems to be working well.
