Often I’m asked that “at 1:20 in the song there’s…”
So here’s the (or multiple) problems:
- The track usually doesn’t start on the first measure (yes, I know I can adjust that in project settings)
- There may be multiple tracks in a single session (e.g. during mastering)
So why can’t we have rulers with the following addition: Be able to add an offset.
- If it’s linear, just set a time difference, if it’s in musical mode, set number or bars.
- Bonus option: right click or ctrl+click somewhere to make the clock position the new “zero”
Programming wise this seems quite easy to me and since the default offset is zero wouldn’t break any old projects.
Any thoughts?
